One of his main interests is the preparation of nanoporous materials. He is a pioneer to successfully prepare mesoporous silica films in 1994. He has been investigating how the spatial distribution of guest species affects the performance of the intercalation compounds of layered silicates and titanates.

Kasicka![]() Václav Kašička received degree RNDr. in Physical Chemistry from Charles University, Prague, in 1979, and PhD. degree in Biochemistry from the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry, Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences, Prague, in 1985. At this latter institute, he is head of the department of Electromigration Methods (www.uochb.cz/kasicka). He is engaged in research and development of electromigration methods and their application to analysis and characterization of (bio)molecules. He published about 160 scientific papers. He is editor of the Journal of Separation Science, chairman of the Chromatography and Electrophoresis Group of the Czech Chemical Society, and secretary of the Steering Committee of the European Society for Separation Science.

W-H plot from XRD data, FTIR, TGA, EDX, SEM, HR-SEM, TEM, HR-TEM, SAED, UV, PL,
CV, VSM (room temperature, high temperature and low temperature magnetic measurements),
dielectric, hemocompatibility and antibacterial analysis. His research activities focus on the
semiconductor and magnetic nanomaterials/nanocomposite for optoelectronics, magnetic storage
device, electrochemical, biomedical and antibacterial applications.

Engineering at Shiraz University, Iran. He received B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D.
